I visited early on in the life of the mansion and museum- when Christopher Lee was out and about and a presence there. Don't know if that's still the case. Being just inches away from Columbus' desk, standard, religious artifacts, and closets full of original...More

Our visit to Boal Mansion was truly delightful! If you are a history buff, do not miss this place! So often when you visit these old mansions, everything inside is a reproduction, roped off so you can't get up close and personal. Not this place!...More

This Chapel is an unexpected treasure. The fact that the Columbus family items have been stored and preserved in this little village is truly amazing. If you love history, this is a place to visit.

In addition to the Christopher Columbus connection the house tour demonstrated so many connections this family has had to American history. It is hard to believe the events they have been involved in, from the founding of Penn State, through European events to modern politics...More
