This little museum and old church holds numerous artifacts from Yachats' history. It was interesting to see the everyday items that had been preserved. The woman volunteering was helpful and pleasant to talk to; she was able to supplement the information provided with the exhibits. The church itself is very cute, and would be a nice location for a small... More

This is a beautiful little church. I may be prejudiced as my grandfather helped build it many years ago. In February, they hold wedding re-commitments. It's a lovely site for a small wedding and a nearby community center offers a reception area. Take time to visit the church when in Yachats.

We are full time RVers who enjoy traveling the Blue Roads. We are in constant amazement, how the smallest of towns, have the hardest working volunteers to preserve their heritage. This little church is one of those projects. Originally built 1930, in the shape of a cross with local timbers, it survived thru many Pastors/many faiths and became a museum... More

Worth a quick visit. This is a very small museum but full of interesting history of the town and area. There are pictures of the town before the roads when they used the beach to get to Waldport and back. A very nice collection of shells from around the world. Of course there is the small log church as well.

This was literally around the block, from the Rock Park Cottages, where we were staying. A sweet, older gentleman, showed us around, giving us a history on the place. A few cool items in the museum side, such as the heat rods for hair permanents, from the 20s and 30s. A shell collection. The church, itself, is in the shape... More

Visiting this historic, yet still working church gives a good sense of the history of Yachts. Weddings still performed here. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and invite one to linger.

Love this little church, shaped like a cross. There are a lot of historical displays inside and the grounds are beautiful.

A quaint little historic church. If you're in to town historic buildings, this will need to be one of your stops.
