We took the drive to see the covered bridge, and It was worth the trip. Seeing the construction and how well maintained it is was great. Kudos to whomever maintains this amazing bridge. You should take the drive - its beautiful! And keep an eye out for the wildlife!

The bridge has been well maintained and updated in the past several years. Once you cross over the bridge you will come to a fence and sign that is posted as Do Not Enter. The locals tell me the home owner just past the fence posted the sign and driving through the fence is allowed since it is public property.... More

An easy, short drive through the countryside to see some history and enjoy the local scenery. The bridge is beautiful and in great shape. Wonderful picture opportunity.

The coastline is rugged and magnificent, but this side trip was a nice change of scenery. Don't miss the giant tree across from the bridge.

The drive to this bridge lends to the enchantment. Beautiful wreath was a nice holiday addition. Don't expect to go past the bridge, it leads to what appears to be private property. No signage here with history.

The covered bridge on the Yachats River road is a bit out of the way but well worth the time to find it. And, as it is at the end of the road, once you find it you get to drive back! The road is a good two lane most of the way, through a pleasant valley...fog draped the morning... More

This is one of my favorite covered bridges in Oregon. Take a tripod for your camera so you can use a long shutter and get enough light to make a good exposure. The red should come out more this way too. Can't get underneath this one but the nearby cedar trees and the overall location are photogenic.

This is an out of the way attraction. It is about 10 miles up the Yachats River road. You will not stumble across this place. You must want to search it out. Upon arrival, you will find a small (about 50 feet in length) covered bridge. The drive itself is very nice alongside rivers, through forests and pastures. This is... More

A nice little example of Oregon's effort to preserve their historic covered bridges. This one is out of the way & on the way to nowhere. I believe the road ends at private property soon after the bridge. The drive to the bridge from Yachats up Yachats River Road is very nice & a nice change of pace from the... More

You could be anywhere on the east coast. The vegetation gives it away. It's the Pacific Northwest. You drive inland from the sea, out of Yachats through forest and fields. It's a short lovely drive.
