Path down was easy for us to access, steps and weather might hinder those with handicaps. We love to see geological sights along the coast

We enjoyed spending almost an hour watching a whale along with spouting, waves, and thundering sounds of Devil's Churn. You can also see Thor's Well from the same location. If it's a clear day, you will likely see whales feeding right off the coast.

We went there at low tide, the only time that we had. I have see pictures of it at high tide and am sorry that we missed it. The bridges over Highway 101 are always visible and we saw that, and quite a bit of...More

We sure wish we had stopped at this park during high tide. At low tide, you can certainly see the slot where the water rushes in from the ocean and would hit the end and explode upward. I'm sure it would be spectacular. Short hiking...More

There are two levels of parking available plus restroom facilities. We took a short path down to get a view of the waves crashing into the rocks which must be spectacular during a storm.

Unfortunately we were there at the wrong time. I'm sure this is lovely when the tide is coming in and the little trail around the loop was very pretty.

Devil's Churn wasn't anything spectacular but it's worth a visit. Would I come back, yes. It was kind of treacherous to reach, my mother (in her 70's) couldn't get down to the actual end because you are walking/climbing in slippery conditions. What I loved the...More

As with many stops on the Oregon Coast, it all depends on the tide. We spent several days in the area, and some spots you want to see at low tide. This one needs a high tide to get the full effect. Stopped at low...More

Due to the drought in the area, we really didn't get to see much action here. We could tell it would be impressive at high tide, but not at low.

There are two levels of parking if the first is full, drive down to the lower level (near bathrooms). Short walk to Devil's Churn viewpoint and another path, I think loop, down to beach. Nice stop even if not churning.

There is a parking fee for the lots on site- but if you buy the parking pass from the ranger station, it is good for all park stops along the way.

Google Yachats tide conditions 2015. It's also worth noting that other weather conditions such as swell, storm etc will have an effect on your experience so watch the weather forecast for the area.
