This was the original location for an inn which is no longer there. From this viewpoint, you can see the Vista House and get pictures of the Columbia River. There is also a monument to historical events in the area.

Great place to view the Columbia River and Gorge. The view point is very well laid out with ample parking.

I have many photos of the Vista House. My best ones were taken from The Portland Women's Forum. Sunny days or rainy days, morning or evening, you'll get excellent shots. Bring a tripod, and maybe a jacket. Great location!

This is a great place to pull off and see the Columbia River and up and down the gorge. Plenty of parking and lots of picture opportunities.

You have a nice view over a large part of the Columbia river and it's gorge from here. There is a parking lot at the viewpoint.

If you are unable to hike but would still like a fantastic view of the gorge then this viewpoint is ideal. Nice thing is that isn't crowded and is on the way to the Vista House. It provides a spectacular backdrop for a wonderful photo.

Enjoyed this trip with wonderful scenery. Too bad part of highway 30 was closed due to earlier Spring forest fires.

This was our first stop on the Columbia Highway, and one of the best places to get a good photo of the Vista House.

We drove along the historic Scenic Highway 30 and just followed the signs. The tourist information center in Troutdale was very helpful, they told use about the route to use.
