It was pretty warm when we visited which made our visit short. The docents were very pleasant. All displays were well marked. The atmosphere was casual.

Great place to visit and many interesting items on display. Excellent docent and enjoyed the grounds and the area at the top of the hill overlooking the river, dam and downtown Dalles.

The town flusy will greet you at the door! Lot's of History be sure and see the old carriages abd cars. You can easily spend an hour or two exploring the grounds and homes.

Must see. They have worked hard to maintain this piece of history. We just stopped to strench legs and it turned out to be a great memory.
