During the winter, the only trail available is the paved trail, but it is a fun walk where you get views of the river, of marshland, and of rainforest-type conditions.

Love to get away here at lunchtime or on the weekend with a friend when you don't want to drive out very far.

Just north of Sherwood and off 99W, this seems like an unlikely location for a nature walk. However, we found this to be a great spot to walk and observe wildlife. The visitor center was open and volunteers were very helpful. We checked out multiple...More

It didn't look like much from the road but when we got out it turned into a very enjoyable time walking on the path, no hills, and seeing lots of birds. Very nice.

Love the walk through here, several viewpoints. Not really big but good for a short leisurely walk. Pretty quiet with places to sit and read or relax along the way. Seasonal birds visible from some locations. Place to picnic as well (covered).

Well done nature exhibit combined with about a one mile walking trail in the wetlands harboring birds and a variety of animal life. Frequented by eagles, a great place for exploring the outdoors. No pets.
