We loved the various places along the OR / CA coast. It really is truly amazing how the rocks from the shoreline jet up from the beaches / ocean! Ensure that you go on a dry day so you would not have issues with the...More

First of all, be sure to check with local hikers before going on this trail. We were informed that there is a homeless camp near the trailhead, where there are many altercations between the transients and hikers being robbed and assaulted. Because of this, we...More

Trail was EXTREMELY muddy. Ended up turning around about a mile in. (And we are pretty ardent Colorado mountain hikers) The forest was beautiful and I am sure it’s a great hike when it is dryer. We will try again in May. #ruinedhikingshoes. #whitedoglookedlikeachocolatedip.

This was a great hike for the family, a little tough for the little ones but well worth it. The only thing that would make this hike better would be to remove the 4' log over the trail at about 3.5 miles up.

You start at the south end of Seaside Beach and head up Tillamook Head. You start in a neighborhood but quickly round the corner and see Tillamook Head Lighthouse, which I believe is privately owned. The views as you traverse on are just lovely if...More

Nice hike, a little steep. Beautiful view. I gave it a 4, because there are so many choices. I preferred the Cannon Beach area more. This is a perfectly good hike

The full trail is about 7 miles. We didn't go the entire 7 miles (maybe about 2 miles). We found an area that was high enough and had an opening to view the ocean - it was very pretty! The trail is well marked, but...More

I didn't see any public transportation between Seaside and Cannon Beach. That's not to say that it doesn't exist. However, the state park road from the park entrance to Indian Beach trail head would be a long walk, even if... More

It takes at least 40 minutes just to hike from the Turnaround at Seaside to the Tillamook Trailhead. You'd be better off driving to the Indian Beach trailhead and hiking from there.
