If I return to this location, and I may, I will likely have to update the review. We arrived during the annual Deepwood Vintage Market event on 9/17/16. This was a gathering of local folks hawking old stuff to people into buying someone else's cast-offs....More

We visited as part of a Senior group tour. The grounds are separated into small garden areas and nature trails. The gardens are lovingly tended by many volunteers. We had a delicious High Tea style lunch and finished with a knowledgeable tour of the house.

If you're in Salem this is definitely worth a visit. We did the regular tour, which takes an hour and is very informative, but they offer a number of other fun events like a tea. The tour guide was top notch and patiently answered all...More

Go at a non-busy time before lunch. We felt we got a private tour at a leisurely pace with our many questions answered. Must be nice to have money! I am so glad the estate preserved this elegant and well-maintained home. It is heavily used...More
