A great place to possibly see elk. This is a protected area and elk are frequently grazing. There is parking and bathrooms available so it makes for a good stop.

Great stop, we saw a few groups of elks, some very close. It was an amazing view, a beautiful meadow, big animals and a cloud of small black birds flying around the elks and some perching on their backs and antlers.

Along Highway 38, just east of Reedsport. Elk can be seen year round and easily photographed from the viewing area or from several of the wide pull offs along the highway. Remember, these are wild animals and can be dangerous if you get to close.

Saw 100 elk in mountain flats amazing. They were just grazing 100 yards away seemed comfortable with humans being near a great experience.

Got a few good pictures of some bull elk. There was a large group of females and little ones. Plenty of parking with pit potties.
