I’ve climbed Tumalo Mt. a few times and love it! From the parking lot, across from the lodge at Mt. Bachelor, you will be starting your uphill immediately. The path is lined by wild flowers, in part, and vistas of the Cascades and high desert....More

Found this on TA after being told about it by a friend. An fairly moderate hike, about 4.5 round trip according to the MapMyRun app. It's a pretty steep incline, so trek poles or a walking stick would be handy. You don't start to see...More

I cannot speak to how it is in summer but winter was phenomenal. Ended up snowshoeing up there in time to see the sunrise. It was cold but ridiculously gorgeous and worth every shivering step taken. Can't wait to make it back!

Great Hike....GREAT to get blood pumping....and the reward...AMAZING VIEWS! Yes, strenuous on way up...but you can do it! It is well worth it. It is slow on way up depending on your fitness level but fast and effortless on way down. This hike is great!...More

The hike up tumalo mountain is definitely hard work but the views are worth every drop of sweat. You definitely need hiking poles or a sturdy stick for the walk down the mountain as it's very hard on your knees (and we are young!!)

The 1.5 hike up the mountain is strenuous depending upon your fitness and ability. However, it is a nice hikk and if you take your time it's worth the hike. I saw numerous older folk who were not in the best of shape, making the...More

The trail seemed to be very popular. The parking was almost full when we arrived on a weekday. Most of the trail runs through a forest so you can take a break in a shadow when you are exhausted. Remember on the top you will...More

I always enjoy this hike. It's about 1.5 miles one way and all up to the summit. It takes you through the lower shady forest and on until you summit with fabulous views of both Mt Bachelor and the Three sisters. I find it to...More

The view of the Cascade Mountains----especially the Three Sisters----is beyond compare. Watching the sunsets is the best in the U.S.
