Had a nice time riding the tram during the 4T Trail walk. Only recommendation I'd tell the tram is improve signage to get to the tram from the trailhead at the top of the hill.

As visitors to Portland we noticed the tram while we were driving towards downtown. We were told by some locals that it only cost a few bucks per person (round trip) and that time permitting, it was a great view of the city and the...More

We took this tram which took up to a Hospital on top of a Hill. From there you could see most of Portland. The view was spectacular. Nothing else to do at the top. There are some food trucks at the bottom and most had...More

If you don't have vertigo, the aerial tram is quick and easy (though it can be a bit crowded. It's fun for a ride even if you don't need to get up and down the hill.

Amoung the recommendations from the tourist advisers at the airport was a visit to the Portland Aerial Tram. It was certainly easy to get to using public transportation. Bit of a line-up on the first part heading up to OHSU but none on the return....More

You might consider it a tourist attraction if you consider that the views from the top are fantastic, and that there are a lot of people that live where there are no mountains and a tram ride is a bit of a novelty.

I think you're talking about Tillikum Bridge, it's the newest bridge over the Willamette River and it's only open to the light rail trains, buses, foot traffic or bicycles. It is pretty cool.
