Its a bridge... the only reason for going is to see the view of the "Oregon" white stag sign. Other than that it is a bridge. Coming from London that it is a bascule bridge may be of interest to others but didn't really stand...More

We saw this bridge while in Portland. We saw lots of bridges. This was just one more - nothing more even though it was nice to look at.

This is an old school bascule bridge that gets the job done with a minimum of adornment or fuss. Very useful.

Definitely worth a walk across this bridge for the views you'll see. It's relatively quick, maybe 10 minutes or so. Sidewalks aren't super wide though, so the traffic will feel close.

This bridge aint the prettiest, but it is kind of pretty especially at night when the lights are reflecting off the water.

Although not the most beautiful, it's one of the oldest, most historic with easy pedestrian access at both the east and west ends. Also, close to restaurants, taverns and the famous Saturday Market.

I'm not sure why this was ranked in the top attractions of Portland, but please trust me...Portland has much more to offer. Curse as you're stuck in traffic waiting on this bridge, but don't visit it and call it an attraction.

There is easy pedestrian access to both sides of the river to loop between the other bridges. One can see the semi-famous huge old-school Portland sign, but you can't really get a good picture because of the trees growing up in front of it. The...More
