we got some good pictures of this bridge both from a distance and up close. it is pretty scenic with the city background behind it.

Usually I’m too busy watching the I-5 traffic rather than do any sightseeing off the Marquam Bridge, but recently during a submarine veteran’s reunion in Portland I was able to see from the this brudge my old submarine USS Blueback displayed below at OMSI.

For most people this is a way to cross the Willamette River on I-5, possibly hooking up with I-405. It was also intended to connect with the never built Mount Hood freeway which would have provided access to I-205 not Mount Hood.
