Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's fine. Easy access to the TMet and there were some eat and drink options inside. Convention centers are all pretty much the same. Not a lot of eats that I saw around the center, at least none fast food.

I so totally understand taking public transportation to events if I lived in the city. I don't. I live in a rural area in the center of the state, so I needed my car to get from the hotel to the Convention Center. Parking was "okay", not wonderful, but it was a long, long way from where out exhibitor space was. Having to carry bags to and from each day didn't make me entirely happy.
This is a beautiful, highly functioning building with little to no parking. I was there for a conference of professional trainers and found the rooms more than adequate. The building has excellent rooms, nice exhibitor halls, and enough space to hold many people comfortably.
Yes, if we had another conference there I would sign up. I would definitely make different plans for getting to and from and would make sure I didn't need a car. BUT
BE SURE TO TAKE YOUR OWN WATER! $4.75 was a bit excessive.

The center itself is nice, and easily walkable. However, for how much space they have inside, they need more parking. There were two conventions there when we went and the lots were full before the second convention even opened for the day. I wish that the outside of the building was more clearly marked as you can go in one way that looks like the main entrance and have to walk all the way to the other end for whatever hall you actually need.

Seriously the worst management of this center. We’re here for a dance convention and all bathrooms are either locked or closed for cleaning with security stationed outside. Probably 250+ young dancers and no bathrooms. Not to mention the security guard literally screaming at the girls to stop running as they jog from bathroom to bathroom to find them all unusable. Get better convention center!

To be fair it had a lot of construction, so that probably affected part of experience. Train stop was closed when I first came in -- Why would you close train stop at ceonvention center? No hotels connected. Not in downtown area, downtown is across river. Area not very clean. Homeless have tents up on sidewalks closeby. I am also used to have a concierge desk/help desk for entertainment/food/drinks at convention center, that is not true here.

Simply walking the area provides more than enough intriguing shops and restaurants to consume an afternoon.

Convention facilities are top notch. The area is kinda dead and all concrete. Not enough decent eateries close by and the week I was there, the Convention food vendors were all closed, so was forced to wander streets for food that was not great. So, come to get your business taken care of, but you will need a car to go to other places of Portland to see and eat......not much around this area sadly.

Attended Rose City Comic Con for the first time, visiting the convention center for the first time. It's a smaller convention center compared to others I have been to, which was nice. It's a nice layout, easy to get around. Plenty of charging stations and restrooms. And good food choices.

The convention center only took us 20 mins from Vancouver, we were able to find parking at the center.
The inside is huge!!
This was two conventions in one, with vendors etc.. Even with all that there was still so much space to move around, the lines to meet people were not too long, plus there is a lot of food options.
This is a great venue for Walker stalker cons, which was our main reason for going.
Already got our tickets for the next one in January.
