I spent time attending Portland State college. The tree lined central campus was always very special, during all the seasons, lending the natural world's grace to a city environment. An interesting place to be, with older buildings and newer ones, with a very diverse student...More

The rec center occupies most of a building at SW 6th and Montgomery. Bus lines and streetcar lines converge a block away, making the commute a snap. A big Olympic-sized lap pool, with relaxing hot tub, is on one floor, and above it is a...More

We stayed nearby and I got to say that I was impressed with the urban campus. They are doing a major gym renovation now that will be awesome and the school sits high on a hill above the greater city. It's a very short walk...More

Beautiful campus in a park-like setting. Easily accessible via NS streetcar. A great farmer's market every Saturday from 9 to 2 p.m.

And be sure to make it by on a Saturday morning for the farmer's market - best in the city! The park blocks are stunning and a great place for a picnic or a pleasant walk.

PSU is an integrated part of Portland. It's difficult to be downtown and not be on their campus. Lots of things going on, very involved in community life.....and ideal of what an urban campus can be. Our son did his undergrad here, our professional lives...More

As an urban campus this is average. They have not average things like the Saturday farmers market or the food carts on 4th. But that is independent from the University. Went to three urban universities in other states and the parking and transportation was better,...More
