The Oregon Rail Heritage Center was a highlight of my husband's visit to Portland. He saw two Nickel Plate engines that he had always wanted to see "in person," and was glad we made the effort to visit. Free parking across the street, too.

We have lived in Portland a long time, and never visited the Oregon Rail Heritage Center until attending a birthday party there. What a cool experience! Our kids loved seeing the trains, and running around in the sunshine.
