This is such a necessary attraction to see and do when you're in Portland. There are so many talented artists and creative geniuses selling their wares at the Saturday Market. It's a fun place to browse, shop and eat some wonderful food. Close by is the Riverfront, where you can have an amazing walk. My party was lucky enough to... More

The market is uneven in it's offerings. Some of it is amazing, and some is a step or two above flea market offerings. But, on whole, it's worth walking through. You might find a treasure that you never knew that you needed! When you are done, you can walk right on down to the waterfront park...

Wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning viewing all the interesting paintings, clothing etc.... There are a lot of things that you will not see at other art shows and the vendors are very friendly, taking time to talk with you and explain their products.

Thankfully, we had a beautiful day to stroll through the market. There was one row of food vendors, offering small bites from various parts of the world. Most of the market was filled with vendors selling their creations from jewelry to wooden decorations to t-shirts. Most entertaining was the area near the fountain where musicians entertained market-goers all day. The... More

Worth visiting at least once. From the typical Oregon goods made of glass, stone, ceramic, and much more. Inspiring and colorful. Love the handmade tiles this trip.

I was up early last Sunday killing time till the shops opened by walking across the Steel Bridge. I had noticed a lot of tents up in Tom McCall Waterfront Park and wonder that that was all about. When I got closer it all became clear that this was the Portland Saturday Market. I remember this started way back in... More

It was opening day of the open air market season in Portland. There was a slight drizzle but the artisans were out in numbers. I saw a lot of handmade soaps, jewelry artists, photographers, beautiful clothing and much more. There were many food items to chose from. It had a very relaxing atmosphere. I wish I lived closer to enjoy... More

A magnet for locals and tourists alike on Saturday mornings, this smorgasbord of food, crafts, clothes, and housewares has it all. Comprised of local artisans and craftspeople, this place has everything imaginable. Nestled in the Old Town neighborhood and the river, this is must see spot while visiting Portland on a weekend.

This has been around for over 30 years and it used to be a fun weekend get away to check out some cool stuff, hadn't been in years and last summer was there and it's super seedy Now. With all the homeless and drug users right there and a lot of junky stuff, the only reason to go down there... More
