I wish the water was turned on

I didn't realize they shut the water off in the winter. We got there in the afternoon and it was completely dry. That being said, it is still a sight to see. There isn't much... read more

No really it's a cool place especially when it gets warm. Lots of locals relax there with a coffee or lunch when the weather permits. The design is beautiful allowing lots is places to relax and the sounds is soothing as the water spills over. It's a landmark in the city for residents and a great picture taking opportunity for... I didn't realize they shut the water off in the winter. We got there in the afternoon and it was completely dry. That being said, it is still a sight to see. There isn't much to do except look at it and take some photos. My husband walked all around it and got some pretty cool artsy photos. If you... More

I was waiting in line at the Keller Auditorium on night and looked over at the Keller Fountain and thought "I really must see that during the day" sometime. So Last week took a walk over to the park and low and behold-- it was turned off. Apparently during the winter the fountain waters are not flowing. So if you... More

This is an architectural landmark that anyone with an interest in architecture or urban design should visit. Best time is the spring to early autumn when the fountains are working.

It's a nice hang if you is walking around but I wouldn't go out my way to go there because there is not much to do.

This park is fairly nondescript from the west, however, the magic of this place becomes evident when you reach the fountain. It is an interesting and tranquil place to spend some time. The sculpture and fountain allows you to go behind the wall of water. Interesting quotes and art is located around the park and fountain. It feels safe and... More

It was drained when we came by and saw it due to the cold weather but it's a pretty neat design and I'm sure great in summer.

my wife has been talking about this for years -- her dad's cousin, (I'm fairly sure) an architect and designer, designed "some fountain in downtown Portland" she told me. We more-or-less stumbled onto it! while taking the grand-kids to a performance at the auditorium across the street! multi-tiered, splashy, happily noisy, i'm surprised I didn't see anyone fall into the... This is a really big fountain, with various levels that allow people to get close, as well as stairways that take you above it. My understanding is that it's okay to wade in the water here, but on a cold day in October that wouldn't be a good idea.
