I took a friend to Washington Park. Mind you, he is very lazy and he doesn't get around much. Still, we parked near a point where, after a short walk though the woods, we had a view of Portland from above. My friend exclaimed that...More

There is plenty to do up here and it's a lovely spot to picnic or just sit and read a book. There are several trails of various lengths. We did the Maple, Wildwood and MAC (to the Rose garden). Trees are beautiful.

This park is certainly one of the absolutely finest I have ever visited. Its rose gardens and Japanese Gardens are special attractions all by themselves, but they are simply a couple of the many things to see and do here. The lush forests and wonderful...More

Climbed the steps thru some barrel chunk Doug Firs. Man what a beautiful place. The stairs ended at a plateau that took us into the Rose Garden. What a fantastic part of mother earth.

It's a must see in Portland. There are many attractions in the Park, and the terrain is so varied. The light rail will take you right to the Park

We spent over 4 hours here - plenty to see and do. We used the shuttle bus to get from place to place. The rose garden was spectacular, enjoyed the Japanese garden but the arboretum was disappointing.

The park and campsite is beautiful. The rates for the sites are reasonable. $10/night for the no-hook-up tent sites. At night you can hear the waves hitting the shores in your tent. Family friendly and pet friendly.

No specific bike trails, but there are plenty of bikers on the winding roads through the park. Check out the park map.

Yes it is the zoo. Washington Park has the rose garden, a Japanese garden, the zoo and some hiking trails.
