Sure, its a nice park! It's also a relatively big park. But it's not that big. Not like some out there. It is however centrally located to where I live, so I am biased towards Washington Park. It's got zoos, and gardens and Larpers hiding...More

This park is HUGE. Do not plan to walk around it, it will take you a very long time. They have great bus transportation around it though.

This is a great place to spend a day. It has a Zoo, Japanese Garden and Botanical garden. Great for walking if the weather is nice. It can be reached from the city on the Blue or Red line Tri-Met train.

This park is a gem. It's absolutely beautiful with lots of hiking opportunities. Be prepared to hike uphill, but it's not a difficult hike to the Witches' House. You can hike further. The trails can be a little wet so wear appropriate shoes.

Truly nature in the city. Washington Park has much to offer residents as well as visitors. The Zoo, The Children's Museum, Hoyt Arboretum, and the World Forestry Center are exciting places for all to see.

We spent a whole weekend here, as we drove up from far Northern California. The free transportation was fantastic, so easy to use and the Japanese Garden, highly inspiring. While waiting for the bus, someone asked us where we were from and his response was...More

We came here as part of our visit to Washington park. There's lots of trees and it's a lovely outdoor environment. If the weather is good it's worth visiting.

My husband and I hiked through the park, not realizing how far the Japanese Gardens were from where we started. It was a 4 mile walk through the foggy woods, not too strenuous, very quiet and peaceful at times. Not crowded because it was January,...More

I live right by this park and it is always welcoming to walk below its trees, amid its roses, over its mosses. Others might better enjoy its hills and peaks, archery range, and cycling paths!

Walked through on the way to Japanese Garden. So clean, well kept. Dogs were on leash. People were courteous. Lots of joggers. Would love to explore more!

Ditto what others have said. There was a “hot dog” cart when we were there too. And take the free bus around the park to minimize the walking necessary. Have fun and check out the Roses!!!

Washington Park allows dogs but the usual rules apply: Dogs must be on a leash and clean up after them. Apart from that its a perfect place for the whole family.

No specific bike trails, but there are plenty of bikers on the winding roads through the park. Check out the park map.
