The Rose Garden was in full bloom in October. Beautiful! The Japanese Garden is beautiful as well. Be sure you like to climb up stairs and steep slopes. Take the Trimet to Washington Park

I was so lucky. This visit it wasn't raining (a miracle). IMHO, this is well worth a visit. Of course parks aren't for everyone, but hey, you're here and its pretty. Why not?

Lovely any time of year as the foliage keeps changing. Good for afternoon strolling or for watching the lights come on in downtown Portland at evening.

Such a beautiful park with so much to do - hikes, rose garden, Japanese garden and more! I went to the Japanese garden and it's a little expensive but very serene and peaceful. The rose garden is incredible!

No specific bike trails, but there are plenty of bikers on the winding roads through the park. Check out the park map.
