The art on exhbit was nothing to rave about (in my non-artist opinion) but the building itself (Carnegie Fund) is gorgeous. If you're walking around Pendleton, take a "boo".

There is the gallery which changes at least monthly, kids art activities, music of all kinds and on the third Thursday of every month there is the First Draft writers' series which features writers from all over the North West as well as a... A small art museum in a small community, but with unexpectedly good offerings. Artists change regularly and a wide variety of genres are exhibited.

The Pendleton Center for the Arts is hard to describe in a few words. It is a gallery and gift shop with (usually) monthly shows of artists - many from around the area. But it is also a place to take classes. They have a wide array of classes for all ages. Some are just a few hours, others meet... More

I have visited the Center for the Arts in Pendleton, OR many times, enjoy looking at the items they have for sale, and always try to attend the FIRST DRAFT poetry reading each month. This building is a unique building and when I was growing up was the City Library. I am so glad they have kept the building looking... More

From the historic building to the friendly staff, the Art Center is definitely a standout in Pendleton. The main gallery space is full of natural light and the art exhibited there is top-notch. The fine craft gallery has wonderful jewelry, pottery and lots of other beautiful items. My children have taken many classes there- always a good variety to choose... More

We love the Carnegie libraries that communities have turned into art centers and this is another one. Quality of art was good and well worth going to.

The Pendleton Center for the Arts was a former Carnegie Library for those interested in old library architecture. Now the building functions as a gallery for traveling art exhibits, a place for the locals to have meetings and events and it also has a substantial gift shop for those looking for that special keepsake to help them remember their visit...
