I'm glad most kayakers haven't discovered this great location (Oops, I may be blowing it here). The bay is sheltered, beautiful, diverse, and easily accessible. I'd call it "World Class", but then I haven't kayaked the whole world (yet).

Very nice spot. Great views of the coast. Highly recommend! The only disappointment was the lack of armed occupiers. I thought that all refuges in Oregon had occupiers... Seriously though it's worth the stop!

A nice hike it you're driving by, but not a destination on its own. Trail is very accessible. Paved walkway. Washroom at parking lot.

Really not much wildlife to see, but a newer and well laid out refuge. New planting in the last year will pay off down the line. You can park in a lot at the bottom of the hill and walk up the road. You can...More

We visited for an hour on May 21st, and saw virtually no wildlife or birds. We saw a robin or two, then a snake on the trail.....nothing else. The view of Cape Kiwanda from atop the refuge is definitely nice!
