This is a great and good access viewpoint to watch the other side of this bay, specially the bridge. Worth the stop and easy to access in both directions of 101.

Oregon's oldest still-standing lighthouse (c. 1871) is free to tour and open usually from 12-4pm. The light itself is blocked off, but the rooms are open to viewing and decorated in 19th century style. Our kids enjoyed seeing the butter churn, cottage cheese maker, and...More

This lighthouse was only in use for 3 years and has been lovingly restored. Nice stop for families- let the kids see what lie was like in a teeny tiny house where 7 kids lived! Kids will be fascinated by the hair art in the...More

I was dispointed to find that this light house was not open. I was still able to get a photo from the road but I would have liked to have been able to see it up close. If you are traveling from the east coast...More

Sad that this beautiful lighthouse was only used for three years but it has been restored and is a museum . Gift store downstairs and a nice video that talks about the lighthouse . Beautiful beach below and gorgeous bridge nearby.

You can get some really nice views of the Oregon coast by visiting the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. It is a great spot to take some pictures and see an old-style lighthouse.

I love this place. Not only is it located in one of the best ocean view/picnic areas on the Oregon coast, but there is always a docent to fill you in on the amazing history of the lighthouse. It's a fair climb up the steps...More

Was a great place to walk through and look at the past. The lighthouse is beautifully restored and you can walk all three levels. The volunteers are helpful and friendly.

This historic lighthouse was built in 1871. The rooms are set up with furniture from that era. The views from the lighthouse are simply awesome. A drive along 101 would not be complete without a stop at Yaquina Bay. We unfortunately visited on a very...More

During the right time of year this is an excellent place to view whales rollicking off shore. The lighthouse is not always open but when it is the tour is highly recommended. Good souvineers store and plenty of parking and picnic areas. Highly recommended.

There is a link for reserving time for the tours. There is no cost per se for the tour after the $7/car fee for park entry. Please do internet search for Yaquina Head lighthouse tours. Site won't let me post directly for... More

It says open daily on their web site but it would be hard to believe that it is open in Christmas. It appears it would be open during the rest of break.
