Very interesting, well done museum and restored Pacific lighthouse. The whole family will enjoy the visit and the views of the ocean, whales and sealions is fantastic. One of the best places to visit on the coast.

The lighthouse is a lovely stop along the Oregon coastal drive. Great views and a beach as well. Make sure you stop at the information center and reserve a trip to the top and visit the museum

My wife and I decided to get a closer look at this lighthouse. The history of this place is amazing... the life the caretakers must have had here... generations of people living a life few could imagine. Life changing visit!

There are 2 lighthouses in Newport and this was the first. A wood building that served as the residence and lighthouse. You can tour the building for free and see some of the living quarters.

Beautiful day to drive out to the light house. Was very cheap to get on. Trails are well kept up and parking is easy. You really can see for miles on a nice day..

It says open daily on their web site but it would be hard to believe that it is open in Christmas. It appears it would be open during the rest of break.
