If you can time your trip here with low tide, you are in for a real treat! The walk on the polished rocks was very cool! The tidal pools were awesome. So happy we made this stop on the trip!

The visitor center is very imformative regarding the lighthouse and surounding area. This area is of historical signicance on the Oregon coast. A beautiful area for hiking and coastal beauty.

There is a link for reserving time for the tours. There is no cost per se for the tour after the $7/car fee for park entry. Please do internet search for Yaquina Head lighthouse tours. Site won't let me post directly for... More

It says open daily on their web site but it would be hard to believe that it is open in Christmas. It appears it would be open during the rest of break.
