This place is dingy and cramped. It is very expensive and boring. I know the guy who designed it. He was a snob.

Put your money in your pocket, drive across the bridge and go to Hatfield Marine Science Center. Better entertainment and free admission. (Donation suggested) Wax Works, Ripley's, and Undersea Gardens are overhyped and cheesy at best.

If you are going to see The Wax Works, you can get a three-attraction pass that will save you money. This was our third attraction and our favourite of the three. Seeing the various celebrities brought back lots of memories. If you want, you can...More

I bought a three way pass for Ripley's, Wax Works, and Undersea Garden. I think I spent around an hour or a bit more on all three combined. Wax Works was probably the most interesting in my opinion. Might be a good way to spend...More

My husband and I purchased a combo ticket package through Groupon for Ripleys, Wax works, and the Undersea Gardens. We enjoyed our visit to Newport and seeing all that the museums had to offer. Sure, seeing it once is enough to likely hold you over...More

This is NO Madam Tussauds Wax Museum, but still cheesy and fun. Make sure you get discount tickets - we bought the package deal that included Ripleys Believe it or Not, the Wax Museum, and the Undersea Gardens. The exhibits are old and some are...More

I think wax museums are creepy/weird anyway, maybe the biggest ones have high quality figures and sense in how they display them, and have good light except when they want to be creepy. This is not one of the big ones. The figures are all...More

Michael, I just noticed your review of our property for the first time. It is quite an anomaly compared to the rest of our reviews and so I felt it important to respond. Firstly, it would be correct to say that many of our wax...More

I went here as a kid. Nice to see it has been kept up and was still as fun as I remember. Groupon offers a discount pass to this and Ripley's. That saved me a fair amount of $$.
