Colene Clemens Vineyards is characterized by steep, rocky, south-facing slopes, an array of Pinot-friendly soils and a handful of carefully selected clones. Owners Joe and Vicki Stark enjoy a collaborative effort with their talented and dedicated winemaker and vineyard manager Stephen Goff. No compromise has been made in an all-out effort to produce the finest estate Pinot Noir possible. Farming practices, which include the use of organic compost, extreme fruit thinning and leaf removal as needed are matched equally by meticulous, Old World winemaking techniques. The beautiful but efficient state of the art winery sits atop the property overlooking the vineyards, the valley far below, Bald Peak above and the Coast Range far to the west.

Nicest stone work I have seen in Oregon. Beautiful fireplace and bar, but they will serve you your tasting on the overstuffed lovely leather chairs. Wonderful outside landscaping and plenty of area to look around and wonderful parking. Great wine again named after the owner's family members. Chardonnay without an overly oaky taste. Tasting fee expensive wines.

The scenery alone is beautiful, but what made the trip up so incredible was the knowledgable women who worked in the winery. It was amazing to sit on the patio, admire the view, and drink the amazing wines!

I'd go back for the view. The bucolic setting is truly Tuscan, and Abigail made us feel like family. The wines were clear, concise and cogent. Well scripted, friendly and a bit of opulence, made our first visit to the Will-Lam-Ette Valley very special.

Hit the memorial day tasting and loved the view as much as the wines. This is a little bit north of most of the tasting on Ribbon Ridge but worth venturing out on the dirt roads (so don't bring your fancy car). $15 for tasting and some light snacks. Great elegant pinot's and a very delicious Rose.

to find it, but it's worth the drive. We had two of their wines in mind, but had a taste of 4 others. The 2012 chardonnay was gone (it was unique), but they had the Ariane 2012 Pinot Noir that we'd had at Higgins in Portland the preceding week, so we bought some.

Colene Clemens seems to fly under the radar compared to many of the wineries surrounding Newberg and my wife and I are very glad we found them. Beautiful location (even on a rainy afternoon), friendly staff, and very nice, softly distinctive, pinots. Their 2011 "Adrian" is a standout example of a Willamette pinot and a singular pleasure. Their location is... More

A beautiful locale. Excellent tasting wine. Tasting fee is a bit on the high side ($12) but the wine is high end.

This was one of our favorite wineries in Williamette Vally. The wines are interesting, the tasting room staff very attentive and the views are fabulous. This is the winery to relax with a glass, good friends and enjoy this find. The winery is a little off the road but only a short distance and well worth a little dust.

They make excellent wine here, and the tasting room staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The outside view is beautiful. Unfortunately our visit outside was ruined by a group of loud, drunk women on a tour. I do not blame the winery. It was early in the day and they were as appalled at the behavior of the tour group as... More

This is the spot you plan on eating your picnic that you purchased at the Coffee Cottage in Newberg. Great Pinot Noir. 2012 was a very good year. The views will knock your socks off. Beware of the dirt road.
