Opting outside instead of shopping over Thanksgiving weekend is a win, win. We have a dog and there are several pet friendly yurts here, but reserve early as they go quickly. We chose a yurt instead of tent camping because this is our rainy season....More

The campground is large, quiet, and very well organized. They have tent sites, yurts, and RV sites (only electricity and water). There are trees, shrubs, deer, and birds all around the sites. Each area (loop) of the campground has its own bathroom and shower building....More

We stayed for 5 nights in mid-September in Loop A & had a great time. We had a spot at the edge of the campground so we weren’t surrounded on all sides by other campers, which was nice, although there are a lot of trees...More

Plan ahead for your reservation, and it is worth the planning. Large camping park run by the state. Nice camping sites, with bathrooms with showers every so far around the place. There is a play area for kids too in section "B".. Many people here...More

Spaces are a little tight and larger rigs might have trouble backing in but overall this place was great. Trees separate each spot and the ocean with a large sandy beach is a short walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

There's a place called Wheeler Marina in the town that appears to rent boats and kayaks. Probably about a15-20 min drive from the state park.

Yes, best to look at the map. Beach access doesn't seem too far from any spot.
