What a fun pottery gallery! I was impressed the second I walked in the door and saw the cutest sea stars and octopi hanging in a display there. The work of multiple potters is available at this shop, and the work is pretty amazing. The person behind the counter was friendly and helpful. When we were ready go to, I went back to the octopi and was sad to see that the one I'd decided to get had just been purchased by the person ahead of us in line. With a hopeless hope, I asked the clerk if they had any more of those, she went to check and THEY HAD ONE! I was thrilled and bought it. My wife was truly shocked and pleased to see me making an impulse purchase like this. As a marine biologist, I will find a nice spot for it somewhere in my office, or at home. The octopus was a little more than I'd usually pay for something like this, but it was SO COOL! An excellent experience and I highly recommend stopping by and taking a look if you are even a little interested in ceramics.

We escaped from San Diego, CA after losing our home to the Cedar Fire. We settled in Lincoln Beach and have not looked back. For over 16 years, Mossy Creek has consistently featured quality ceramics from the Pacific Northwest. The shop is a “must see” for all who visit us. Mossy Creek offers works from artists formerly represented by Portland’s The Real Mother Goose. Regrettably, this high end gallery recently closed its two locations. Mossy Creek offers high quality craftsmanship at reasonable prices. Pacific Northwest artists have much to offer - I encourage you to check out Mossy Creek. You won’t regret it!

Well curated selection of local artists. It's always fun to ask about individual pieces and hear more about each artist. Cute cabin in a beautiful setting just off Highway 101.

What a gem off the beaten highway on the way to Depot Bay. Watch for the little "Blue or Green" marker on the highway that should say "Turn Left Now" ! I was so enchanted to both find and visit this whimsical artsy store. Always one to support local artists, as one writer wrote, so many wonderful pieces, which to choose. Like them, I was hard pressed to just pick up maybe one or two pieces. Many over my budget but also enough within my price range to choose from. Beautifully displayed crafts by local artists. The quality of work they displayed was some of the best I have seen in my travels. I'm from Portland originally and spent all summers as a child and even older adult lounging by the sea in the Lincoln City and Taft area. I have wanted to stop here for YEARS and so thankful I finally took the time on my last road trip from San Francisco. Please folks, support your local artists and communities. Take this road less traveled and see what charm and beauty awaits you. You will Not Be Disappointed!
