We've often visited Leaburg Fish Hatchery through the years, and they've made so many improvements that I had to write a review. The display ponds have a path around them and this has been shored up to be more safe, and the bridges have been...More

My son, who is now 5 years old, can feed the fish, play and then hike back to the perfect fishing spot just up the river. What a wonderful family destination for a day trip on the river!

Most people don't realize how huge sturgeon fish can get, though they are used here as catfish to keep the salmon ponds clean. Just off the McKenzie Highway, super convenient, you drive atop the dam to the other side, a wonderful, free 20 minute stop.

We had a workplace barbecue in the park. Lots of room to run around and look at the fish, etc.

Daytime. Early morning or late sun is best to watch the fish. But anytime is good during daylight.
