We stopped here on a weekday to let the kids splash. It wasn't too crowded, there were picnic tables, bathrooms, & it was just a nice place for a picnic.

La Pine State Park's claim to fame is the supposedly largest Ponderosa pine tree in the world. Yep, it's a big tree at the end of a short gravel road. Nice area by the river. Very bucolic. We went there due to not having anything...More

We booked one of La Pine's rustic cabins for a quick weekend getaway and ski trip to Mount Bachelor. Overall the place is great for a winter getaway: quiet, in the woods but with nice amenities for winter (power, heat, central showers, etc). Lots of...More

Hi, it is a beautiful campground but yes there are some of your normal bugs. We did not have a problem with mosquito's. Some ants but not out of the normal, you are camping in dirt mostly. Lots of squirrels and chipmunks... More

There wasn't any wifi that I know about. Your phone should still work though. I didn't have any trouble getting online with mine.
