Fun Trip, but not the quality I expected...

I have wanted to take this trip since I moved to Hood River three years ago. I have worked at a hotel here in Hood River for three years selling this train ride to guests without... read more

Not the best time for me. Not sure where to begin. Hopefully it is better during the summer season. You usually have a choice of a short trip to from Hood River to Odell or a longer trip from HR to Parkdale. I have been on the Parkdale run years ago with young children and it was good. This trip was... More

I have wanted to take this trip since I moved to Hood River three years ago. I have worked at a hotel here in Hood River for three years selling this train ride to guests without knowing what it is really like. Honestly, it has never been in my budget. Between working in hospitality and the cost of living in... More

My wife and I were very excited to book a ride on the Mt Hood Railroad Polar Express train ride for us and our daughter. We wanted to book the Diamond class so that we could enjoy the best view and enjoy a meal while on our ride. It turns out that they only offer the purchasing of tickets for... More

The dinner was fantastic other then a long delay between salad and dinner and no more extra bread wine was very good but bye-bye the bottle a nice trip but this time a year you could probably be only two hours long as it gets dark and you can't see anything anyway great service great staff

I used a Groupon when reserving our seats on this trip. Two times I was on the phone with representatives while setting up our trip. Both times I found the reps to be somewhat impatient, frustrated and kind of rude. It seemed as though they were maybe understaffed and over worked and I wondered if that was the same treatment... We decided that since the weather was bad we'd finally take a ride on the Mt. Hood Railroad. The trip lasted a couple of hours and even though it was raining, we got to see some great scenery and met some really great people along the way. When you buy your ticket our lunch was included. It's a box lunch... More

I have a trip confirmed 12/3 in Diamond Class. My family has been trying to add to our reservation without being able to get a hold of anyone after several left voicemails. I have sent an email as well and still haven't received a response. If you call their office, you are sent to a voicemail box that is now... More

We did the lunch excursion on a beautifully sunny day. We were able to get a clear view of Mount Hood. The lunch was OK, but my husband's pulled pork was cold and the wrong side came with it. Orchards nice to see, but the little town we stopped at had nothing to do. Staff very nice. Lunch was included... More

I have not had a reason to write a poor review until now. Even with a Groupon this is expensive for the quality of food and drink. I had this dough with tasteless pork, my husband had dry salmon. One has to ask for condiments or really any needs. Add in a mandatory 18% tip and it is worse. Even... More

We went on the Sunday "Champagne Brunch". The train itself is very charming and the staff was welcoming. The route of the train is somewhat scenic but also goes by several back yards and car junk yards. My biggest issue is with the brunch itself. Despite being a champagne brunch you are served a grand total of one small class... More
