The hotel is beautiful with amazing craftsmanship situated in a stunning setting. The room was very small and stuffy with a tiny fan and no A/C. While we were not expecting A/C it turned out that it was about 100 degrees (yep100 degrees) at Mt...More

We finished our tour of the area with a stop at Timberline Lodge - unbelievable building created by artisans and craftsmen. Reminded me of the Adirondack Lodges of upstate NY. The views of the surrounding area are spectacular!

Even if you don't stay at the lodge, it is worth the visit. Be sure to watch the video of the history. Then wander around and enjoy the art and craftsmanship.

We took the magic mile lift up Mt. Hood to catch a view of the area below. Also walked out on the snow for pictures. Pretty incredible.

We ate in one of the restaurants in the lodge--good food and incredible atmosphere. We also hiked about a mile out on the Pacific Crest Trail toward Zigzag Canyon--a light rain turned us back. We went in August when the wild flowers were blooming. Incredible...More

We drove directly from Portland to the Timberline lodge and chose the bar on the second floor of the lodge for lunch on Sunday. We were very fortunate to have a table by the window facing the mountains. The view was just gorgeous. The menu...More
