I've heard about this lodge from several other people but their comments didn't do it justice. This place is an absolute must see, nothing like it. We didn't stay here but definitely will in the future.

Two families of 8 skied here and found wonderful diverse trails for skiers of all ages/abilities. The lodge is beautiful, the staff is helpful and the delicious hot cocoa apre ski can't be beat. If you're in the area, you've got to try it!

After skiing on ungroomed ice at Mt. Hood Meadows for two days, someone recommended going to Timberline. Glad we listened as the conditions were so much better! Beautiful groomed trails and just perfect for skiers who want to enjoy the outdoors. There weren't very many expert trails, however, skiing through the glades and the terrain park made up for that.... More

I have skied in Colorado and Europe. Timberline has varied slopes, anazing. Views and is never crowded. I loved it. The people who were there are so friendly as well. If you need a lesson, they have amazing deals. Check it out!

My tween special-needs daughter and I reserved a two-hour private ski lesson bundle, which included front-of-the-line lift privileges during the session, a full day lift ticket, performance skis/boots/poles/helmets rental, and rental insurance. Booking everything together was a significant savings. Check-in at the ski school was an hour before the lesson started, and took the full hour to complete. We had... More

My family (wife, 21 year old snowboarding son, 10 year old skiing son, 9 year old skiing daughter) and I visited here over the new year break and everyone enjoyed this a bit more than meadows. The runs felt a bit longer and were better equipped for our family and the boys loved the various tree runs. We stayed in... More

Wonderful lodge that has lots of fascinating history and details...worth the effort and time to explore getting reservations can be tough but worth the experience...the weather can be iffy so be prepared...also traffic can be frustrating so bring your patience...enjoy

Reading other reviews we chose to spend our only full day at Mt. Hood learning to snowboard at this ski facility. What a fantastic choice! The rental shop is super well organized, good equipment and fitment help, the beginner's area is perfect, safe, well groomed, well staffed, just the best experience possible. Highly recommended!

Just an hour and a half from downtown Portland, Timberline Lodge feels a world away. The beautifully restored old lodge was built in the 1930s as part of the WPA and the detail in woodwork, metal work and glass is everywhere. Both the upper lobby and lower lobby are centered on a remarkable three sided fireplace that was a cozy... More
