Beautiful spot to visit and buy wine. We love the Mickey's Sweet Dessert wine. Mickey was very nice to work with on our wine buy. We also enjoyed the Christmas shop

Brought our Canadian friends and had an AWESOME tasting with "Mac". You are offered quite a varied selection to taste from; Mac was very attentive and communicative and willing to answer questions he is just a really nice guy. What a great time we had! It was very educational too. We stayed TWO HOURS and enjoyed a fantastic cheese plate,... More

We stopped here to sample the wines and check out the Christmas shop. The wines were good, but there were a TON of fruit flies. I realize this is hard to combat when you're processing your wines right behind the tasting room but it was a bit gross and distracting. I know they can't help it but perhaps a future... More

Not the same........shopping was not the same in the Christmas Shop. Not sure we are going to go back and we live right down the road.

This has been standard destination for the last four years or so. The wine continues to be of first quality and the staff most knowledgeable and helpful about their subject. This year they had free pies. As usual, I spent more than I had intended. Chuckles.

Good winery, although nothing special. A couple of good wines although expensive to buy. Funny Christmas shop in the back. Not the most friendly staff member doing the tasting...

We stopped by Shafer Vineyards this past Saturday after tasting at Tualatin Vineyards, on our way to Montinore Vineyards. The setting is beautiful with rolling forested hills and vineyards. The tasting room is rustic and small but the wine glasses they serve their tastings in are very, very small, making it very difficult to swirl the one. It was very... More

Visited over the Memorial Day weekend; first day under new and eager owners. Not to worry, the Christmas shop is still there (and we did buy an ornament). We tasted 5 wines and ended up buying a bottle which we took back to our hotel. We also ordered a cheese plate, which was oh my gosh just wonderful. Took our... More

We tasted several wines here..bought 4 of them! Miki, the owner and wine maker, is delightful and has so much information and experience to share. Couldn't resist also buying a Christmas ornament from her amazing and well stocked shop. We had a little picnic on the front porch with a little wine to boot and enjoyed it immensly. We will... Nice, friendly winery. I've been to wineries in California and the Midwest. I am not a huge wine drinker, so I couldn't tell you how the wine ranks. My opinion is its good the Christmas holiday wine is very tasty. Light, sweet and the spices used makes it a nice speciality wine. The people and owner of the winery are... More
