Why did I think I could climb to the top? Nope, so that was disappointing. The next lighthouse south I think you can. This is a beautiful lighthouse, with a small tour inside the ground level. Don't just hike to the lighthouse, but be sure...More

We parked at the Haceta Head Beach (day use fee of $5.00) and hiked 1/2 mile up a medium grade to the light house. There is also a Bed and Breakfast available. Beautiful views!

There is so much to see driving the Oregon Coast that you have to pick and choose realizing that otherwise you won't get very far. We chose this lighthouse because it is the most often photographed lighthouse . The beach below is a good place...More

Beautiful view of ocean. 1 mile walk up to lighthouse. Old lighthouse keeper house now a bed and breakfast so no tours. Very disappointing for our group. Great State Park volunteers about the history of lighthouse. Nice beach.

Nice and historic lighthouse to visit. We took the trail hike from Carl Washburne to the light house.

There's an arched bridge called Cape Creek Bridge, a beach, and a nice half-mile trail sloping upward to the lighthouse. The only setback is the pit toilet with no running water, there is Sanitizer.

I particularly enjoyed the tour and story of the haunting here. There is a book of haunted lighthouses which tells the story. Gorgeous location. Those lighthousekeepers had a tough life.

Yes - you can get there via a path which originates from the parking lot at the base of the hill. Heceta Head Lighthouse is at the top (about 1/3 of a mile up the hill with a light-to-moderate incline), with a beautiful 140... More

You have to park and walk up to the lighthouse. Not ideal for taking a baby in bad weather.
