Heceta is absolutely stunning! Great history on the light house and beautiful walk along the beach. Be sure to walk to the end and see the rocks stacked upped in the cove. Take time to make your own stack. It's fun and relaxing..

We liked this stop along the coast. We took the short inside tour and walked around the grounds. The lighthouse is nice, smaller than the Yequina Lighthouse which we liked better. But this stop was pretty!

On our 4-day journey northward along the Oregon Coast, we made sure to stop at the Heceta Head Lighthouse. We're so glad we did. The lighthouse is picturesque, but the real star is view of the coastline. There are amazing views from wherever you stand....More

The walk to the lighthouse isn't bad. You can get awesome photo's from a viewpoint down the highway. I took the tour of the lighthouse and found it very informative, however i was disappointed you can no longer climb to the top. We were told,...More

A must to visit while in the area. Go in the early morning before it gets busy. The path is pretty easy. Expect to spend 1/2 hr or more and be amazed at the photos you'll come back with.

Quick 1/2 mile RT hike to get to the lighthouse. Lovely views and worth a stop here. Large parking lot with beach access right in front!

Yes - you can get there via a path which originates from the parking lot at the base of the hill. Heceta Head Lighthouse is at the top (about 1/3 of a mile up the hill with a light-to-moderate incline), with a beautiful 140... More

You have to park and walk up to the lighthouse. Not ideal for taking a baby in bad weather.
