This place was great. We almost didn't go due to the mixed reviews but we (grandma, two science-y parents and a 3 and 6 year old) all enjoyed it. We spent about two hours there and pet a boa constrictor, made paper airplanes and a rocket, and learned a bit about Archimedes screw and the Bernoulli principle. Plus our entrance... More

Brought the grandchildren here on a rainy day. The place is small, and about 15-20% of the activities were broken. No planetarium shows were being offered. So we were left with a limited number of things to do, and because they spanned such an age range, with some activities much more suited to younger kids and some to older, there... More

Appropriate for young children to about age 10. Staffed by volunteers. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Planetarium show was good! Not interested in a membership, but okay for a single visit.

The Science Factory is a hands-on children's museum adjacent to Autzen Stadium. Some of the exhibits are old or broken, but the kids had a great time, especially in the planetarium show, which I thought was a bit too young for the kids (6&7). Admission is a bit steep, but not out of line with other similar attractions.

I've only been there for two of the recent Pink Floyd laser light shows. What a unique and entertaining experience at a very reasonable cost.

A limited number of exhibits in this small venue. Last I was there they had a few reptiles, a small reading and video library nook. Some displays are occasionally replaced. Close to Autzen Stadium and a nice park. Worth a trip with your 4 to 12 year old. The Planeterium is a delight for all ages. Check first for showtimes.

I took my son to the museum for the day. He loved it so much, there was even a place for smaller children to play. It was very kid friendly and educational with a lot of different stations to play at. If your child is between 2-10 I'd defiantly suggest taking them here. The price is low and won't cost... More

Not a must see attraction, but it was a nice experience for a spur of the moment outing. Very few people while we were there, which was nice, as all the exhibits are hands on.

Here's a nice place to take a young child or grandchild for a couple of hours. Fun hands on exhibits are intriguing and educational. I enjoyed participating alongside my grandson. Not expensive and not flashy. Leave the preteens and teens at home.
