We were on the way to see the waterfalls east of here. Looked like a shady park next to a river. The park was busy, and the river banks had many people playing in and around the shore. Enjoyed watching the train the most as it chugged across the old railway bridge.

I stopped by Lewsi and Clark Recreational Park in the late afternoon and wish that I had stopped earlier in the day. There was more here to take in than I was expecting. I found that there was a natural trail that had plaques of historical information and facts. And there were markers near trees and plants to say what... More

If you're traveling between Portland and Hood River this is a nice little stop off the highway. A nice waking trail and it's also popular with rock climbers if you're interested in that.

This is a small park. There is a little footpath with trees marked with their type. There is a clean restroom. Ample parking. Nice stop.

We needed a short break from I 84 and pulled in here to have a snack and rest awhile. It is an oasis off the Interstate with large grassy areas, huge trees, clean restrooms and a shady parking lot. Lewis and Clark had investigated the Sandy River here and there are various historic markers detailing their local expeditions. Worth a... More

It is a great stopping point and offers a lot of outdoorsy activities. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy what the park has to offer.
