I haven't been back up yet since the burn. Not sure if it is open. As soon as it does though, this is a beautiful trail with falls to see and easy access to.

My son and I hiked up to the Punch Bowl Falls. There was a wild fire nearby, so some of the upper part of the Eagle Creek trail was closed near Tunnel Falls, so we decided just to do the lower part of the trail....More

Really glad we did this hike, even if it was just up to Punchbowl fall. Easy parking, wide trail but with narrow points. And steep down, should not be too afraid of heights. The quietness and the scenery is breathtakingly serene. Highly recommended, like us...More

Great hike, but really busy on weekends. Don't only stop by the Punchbowl Falls, but hike to the Tunnel Falls. It's a 13 mile hike (in and out), but absolutely worth it. Less crowded and no people with boom boxes on their backpack (why?). The...More

Went as far as Punchbowl Falls. The trail is as beautiful as described, very easy grade, and well maintained. In this rainy year there are waterfalls all along the trail. At the moment the water is too high to get that "classic" view of Punchbowl...More

Great walk in a quiet area. This trail can be a little busy on the weekends during nice weather but don't let that deter you. This is a beautiful pristine area with easy walking. Dog friendly trail. Sometimes you can hear nearby traffic but for...More

Portland had record precipitation in February 2016. This trail was filled with mud at the beginning of the trail and snow throughout. We hiked Eagle Creek trailhead to the Punchbowl. Make sure to where shoes with good traction and that you don't mind getting dirty....More

This is a BEAUTIFUL trail that will keep you coming back at least once a year. The views are so pretty, huge trees, waterfalls, exciting bridges and cliff hugging trails. This trail isn't great for somebody with fear of heights, but for everybody else, it's...More

Great year round hike. Amazing river views, dozens and dozens of waterfalls including the iconic Punchbowl Falls. Hike is even more amazing during or after it rains. Some portions are not suitable for children as there are cliffs far over 100 high. There are cables...More

Well that depends on how fast you can hike. I only got to the High Bridge with 3-hour round trip. The Tunnel falls is another two miles further up from the High bridge. So, it's 4-5 hours round trip to be safe.
