Very interesting and well done exhibits. Provides insights into the history of the area as well as the wildlife in the area. The living farm exhibit is well done. A highly recommended activity is the presentation about raptors. Conducted outside, the birds are allowed to fly over and around the audience while the narrator provides interesting information about the birds... More

They had an interesting show with live animals and birds but the static exhibits were not exciting. Exhibits were not arranged to tell a story.

The museum is varied with excellent displays of the Plateau Indians -art, culture , and history. We appreciated the up close views of owls and eagles- especially the fact that these were injured birds who have been rehabilitated but can not be released into the wild for various reasons. The sculptures around the museum are beautiful. Short talks with staff... More

$15 is way too much for admission to this museum. They charge $3 more per person for non-members to see Raptors of the Desert Sky that wasn't even worth it. They told us to gather at the meeting spot no later than 12:15 pm and we didn't even walk down until 12:35 pm because they were running late. You still... More

Thank you for your feedback. As a non-profit we rely solely on grants, donations and admission to support our lean operating budget. Our Raptors of the Desert Sky show takes a great deal of time and additional staff to train the birds and provide this educational program. The Raptors of the Desert Sky does take place in a natural environment... More

We are staying at Thousand Trails in Bend-Sunriver and headed here to visit and look around. Glad we did. What a great place to spend hours enjoying the grounds and many their exhibits. Even our 6 and 8 year old grandson's enjoyed coming here. There is a cost to enter but well worth paying. Just wanted everyone involved at this... More

Loved this museum. It was clean, well laid out, and had enough exhibits, shows, and activities to justify the admissions cost. We had torn feelings about our favorite exhibit, which was the Birds of Prey Center. We absolutely loved seeing the barn owl, Great Horned Owl, American Eagle, Gray Eagle, and others. However, we also could not help feeling sad... More
