We drove through a large part of the forest. Both west and south. On the west side are large green trees and going south the trees are smaller and not as green.

Take advantage of this state's wonderful parks and trails! Each one more breathtaking than the next! The Deschutes National Forest has thousands of acres for you to hike and bike. A must do when you are in the Bend area!

Lots of forest service road to drive on and see the beauty of the forest. Drive beside lava flows, streams and thru the woods. Great views!!!

I think they've added more picnic tables lately. So nice to see young families on bicycles enjoying a dip in gentle Tumalo River. The picnic tables are usually freed-up, so bring a picnic lunch!

Head to the Old Mill Shops. You can park by the movie theatre.
