If you go, take time to read the signs. They explain the history of the Chinese workers who were once buried here, before the bodies were exhumed and taken back to China for burial. There are lists of the names. It is a "real" cemetary (which someone else here missed, saying it was just a memorial. It also is not... More

This is a very sad part of the Baker City history. The Chinese immigrants that helped build the city were buried without ceremony in this tiny cemetery. Years later, the bones were exhumed, consecrated and returned to China for proper burial. What remains is a small, uncharted for cemetery with deep holes where the bodies used to be. Very eerie.

A must see if you visit Baker City Oregon. To know the story and what happened so long ago was well worth the visit

On this trip, I took my friends to see the little Cemetery. The history of this location is interesting, and it does not take very long to read the signs and realize the impact that the Chinese laborers had on the community and how they were treated.

The site is North of town and a bit hard to find. You need to take your time and be sure to have good footwear on. The site is not as well maintained as it would be with a bigger Chinese community presents where here in town. The history and tails this one site could tell if you just take... More

Amazing the cemetery is remaining this day and age! The information on site is great. Found guides providing additional information - enjoyed the visit. Unfortunately, the site needs some maintenance, but enjoyable all the same.

This is located right across the street from the super8 hotel(which I liked) It will only take a couple minutes to look at it but is worthwhile .There are a couple small structures and indents where the graves once were. Very cool.

We had heard about the Chinese cemetery and decided to stop by. It is just off I-84 in Baker City. It was interesting to find out about the history! This is a very small cemetery and a little overgrown in parts; however, there are paths you can walk on. They have recently added a new pagoda, which is really nice.... More

It is out of the way, but a must see to understand Baker Counties history. It is unfortunate that the State does not keep the site in a better state of repair out of respect for the remaining burials in the area. But, you step though time as you walk and read the information posted. You will leave with a... More
