I was so disappointed in the cemetery. It has been poorly maintained, is very small and lacks atmosphere of the times when souls were put to rest there. I read the marker and clambored around a bit for a quick visit. Perhaps I was expecting...More

It was as if I went back in time. To think how much work the Chinese did way back then. There were some roads that were built by the Chinese that are still there today.

I lived nearby for several years and never knew this existed. Not highly advertised but gives some interesting history about the area. Small area and a windmill across the street. Trails are very short but marked with signs that show the way to things to...More

This is a very sad part of the Baker City history. The Chinese immigrants that helped build the city were buried without ceremony in this tiny cemetery. Years later, the bones were exhumed, consecrated and returned to China for proper burial. What remains is a...More

On this trip, I took my friends to see the little Cemetery. The history of this location is interesting, and it does not take very long to read the signs and realize the impact that the Chinese laborers had on the community and how they...More

The site is North of town and a bit hard to find. You need to take your time and be sure to have good footwear on. The site is not as well maintained as it would be with a bigger Chinese community presents where here...More
