We went looking for something interesting to do in Tulsa and went exploring to find this. It was a fun hunt for the kids and they got excited when they finally found it.

I thought this was so cool! Now my dad could not experience it & I believe it is because he wears hearing aides so it may not work for those of you that wear them! Worth the walk & interesting things nearby to discover. I recommend searching it out & experiencing the Center of the Universe. It even sounds cool!

I didn't experience the sound phenomena that was supposed to occur. There is a lovely view though. It's a good spot to get some photos.

Who wouldn't want to go to The Center of the Universe and contemplate the mysteries of life? A fun cool little spot right in downtown Tulsa where you can here an echo with no real reason why. It is a quick walk from the street up an overpass. It isnt marked so look at pics before you go. We took... More

This is a free activity located near the Tulsa Train Station/Tulsa Jazz center. It is pretty neat how the echo works especially if facing the Northwest!

This is an interesting and odd spot. Sound does indeed behave oddly here. It was a fun stop while we were in Tulsa.

We are to fly to Houston via Tulsa and drove earlier there just to look around. We chanced a little tip on this place and decided ro go see it without knowledge of what to do or expect just going. There were group of people there and when it was our chance to step on the center we were told... More

Was interesting to say the least. Although unlike the legend people can hear you outside the circle. So you can't tell your secrets to the universe.

Not a lot to do but good for a 30 minute time killer. Kids thought it was cool how the acoustics/ echo worked. Best part is it's free.

It's tough to know why this particular spot earned the name "Sonic Center of the Universe." That sounds a little pretentious. But no matter what you call it, you should visit it if you happen to be in downtown Tulsa. Park on Archer St. (meters available) and cross the overpass bridge that runs above the railroad tracks. In fact, the... More
