Book a tour in advance. Access is limited and tours do not take place every day. This is a must see facility. Tornado Alley is at its center. Knowledgeable staff and a real lesson on the weather.

Took a very interesting tour (about two hours long) with Pat. He did such a great job outlining the role of the weather service. One of those things you take for granted (or grumble about) and now it was demystified! Highly recomment!

Very informative and interesting, even for someone not that much into weather. Our student guide was very friendly and knew her stuff. Nice that's it free. Thankfully we knew to make reservations ahead of time for the tour.

The locations is easy to find -- right off highway 9. Plenty of parking. You have to have clearance or with someone who has clearance to gain entry. Massive space with cool things happening.

Visit the observation deck. The storm center where they monitor storms. See pictures of destruction of storms of the past. Fun tour.

This was a great place to tour! There is so much information being monitored, it’s amazing to see what’s going on all over the world. Everyone was laid back and friendly and it was a great experience!

I think he would enjoy it. There are many things to see that should be interesting even if you don't understand much of the technology behind them.
