Really nice museum!

The volunteers were so friendly and welcoming, they spoke to us about several of the exhibits and one of the most special exhibits was the Harvey House Restaurant. It has been restored and also they have a couple of rooms set up where the Harvey girls used to live. They have some exhibits about the different circus groups that used to winter here. I was very impressed with the museum and will definitely return for another visit.

My family visted the museum.

The staff arranged for someone to open the museum for us late on a Saturday afternoon. This was so gracious of them. The guide was extremely knowledgeable with everything regarding the trains and the history of the station. He was great to help with my young grandson enjoy the train and the firetruck. I will visit this place again - there is so much to see.

We visited there several years ago. There was an elderly gentleman, a volunteer, who was able to show me which one was my grandfather's locker.

Plenty of objects here to see and interesting pictures. Always love seeing a Harvey House that has been renovated. The gentleman working was very nice and informative.

What an amazing collection of the history of Hugo

I have lived near this area for years but for some reason never visited this museum. It is an eclectic collection of the history of the depot, the Harvey Girls that ran the restaurant, and years of mementos of Hugo Oklahoma - people, places and things. I cant wait to go back.

When in Hugo at the Elephant Sancuary take a minute to stop by the museum! The kids loved this and Ms Donna was awesome! Somewhat hands on too!

We returned to a site we saw before and wanted to repeat--no luck--hours have changed!

Web site shows the Harvey House Restaurant open from 6A-2P, so we stopped for breakfast about 0730. CLOSED I did not investigate further, as we had to move on. The museum itself was not open that early, nor did we expect it to be.

Not just railroad history

Great exhibits. Very friendly, knowledgeable docents. Spend an hour (or more!) learning about the history of this area, railroads, circuses, and so much more.
