Hiking

Took a road trip to red rock canyon to do some hiking. It was a good hike without a lot of problems. It was just challenging enough for the us . We are getting up there in age

Stayed one night tent camping. The town of Hinton was quite nice and the people were very friendly. We had an advance camp site reservation (they required 2 nights over the weekend) and stayed one night. The park is quite large and the geography is interesting. The road "down" to the park (and campsites) is quite steep and narrow, so... More

We spent the night and in fortunately it stormed. In the morning it was amazing place. The stream meanders thru the canyon and it's so peaceful. Some sites had full hook ups While others were perfect for tents. Would recommend trip to canyon.

We literally stumbled on this place while on a roadtrip. It is a canyon cut through red sandstone in the middle of the Oklahoma plains. The town of Hinton has taken the time to make it a pleasant attraction that is well used by the locals for picnics and RVs.

We camp here several times a year and have always had a great experience. The grounds are well kept, staff are friendly and helpful. Great place to hike and they have a new pool.

Not too far from I-40 we found Red Rock Canyon State Park and it was a nice little stop for a hike. Just my husband and I, we did not find any trails that were longer than around a half mile but the rock formations and cliffs were beautiful.

Went hiking here last weekend with my partner... The trails were vary scenic and the terrain on top of the canyons very unique. Most trails seemed pretty easy but there is definitely something for everyone. The views from on top of the canyon left a bit to be desired but the convenience of this park being so close to the... This park is immaculate, quiet and beautiful! It has an interesting entrance and many nooks in which to camp, hike and rejuvenate. Playgrounds for the kids(any age I guess!) and plenty of shade trees, pavilions and water hydrants for camping, day hiking, family reunions, class reunions, gatherings of all kinds. Bring your own firewood for the campfire rings! Proud to... More

We spend a few hours hiking last weekend during a break in the cold weather. The park is small but has several very nice trails. The views are great and the trails none-to-challenging! And it is relatively close to OKC. Highly recommend this park for a nice afternoon out in nature.

We were passing through and stopped for the night. Water and electric was $22.00 and we got a discount for being a senior. (10%) Nice sites and clean park. Coin operated Showers and regular bathrooms that were heated. Nice trails in the park. Pretty scenery. Steep hill to campground. Unhook tow car before going down. You'll be glad you did!
