I recently visited with my young child and we had a great time exploring. The grounds were kept up very nice and so were the historical living quarters. There were many different areas to see with little tidbits of information posted. I am not a...More

Made a special trip to see the fort. There is a lot of construction due to a storm. After repaired it should be great. Wait until they get done!

I think we must have visited after a big storm. Many of the barracks were undergoing roof repairs. We enjoyed some good photo ops, but there isn't much to do other than walk around right now. Still a good, free atttaction.

Enjoyed the fort and seeing the restoration. Kids liked the displays, jail (munitions), and stocks. Great place to burn some energy when traveling with kids!

What you won't find in most of your history books is what this place really was. That is a Prison for all the Indian Tribes forced from their home land and brought to Oklahoma. I'm glad the Oklahoma State Historical Society brings out a more...More
