Great place for the kids with interactive displays and the theaters or just adults that want to know about the old west cattle drives. Really enjoyed it. Easy trip from Lawton.

For a small community, this museum surpasses many large city museums. One of the best historical accounts of the American cowboys life on the cattle drives of the late 19th and early 20th century time periods. The Chisholm Trail is brought to life with a multi-sensory theatre and a robotic Jesse Chisholm telling about life on the trail around a campfire.... One of if not the best historical accounting of the American cowboys life on the cattle drives of the late 19th and early 20th century time periods. What a fantastic Heritage Center for a town of any size. The Chisholm Trail literally brought to life with a multi-sensory theatre and a robotic Jesse Chisholm telling about life on the trail... I grew up in Duncan and was aware that the Chisholm Trail ran through the city. I didn't, however, know the details of the trail's origin and how interesting the stories were. I highly recommend this museum for residents, and when residents have friends and family in town. Well worth the one hour tour and very entertaining.

We followed the trail from Dallas to Duncan. The Heritage Ctr was a beautiful, well executed overview of the history of the Chisholm Trail. It's affordable, brief and to the point with interactive things for the kids big and small. A nice way to end our journey.
