Art from all over the world and every time period is housed at this outstanding museum, considered one of the world's best. From paintings by Renoir to sculptures by Alexander Calder to a vast glass collection, you'll find wonderful treasures here. Founder and first president Edward Drummond Libbey wanted to build a place where art was accessible to everyone, hence the museum's free admission policy, which continues to this day. The Toledo Museum of Art is open:Tuesday & Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.Thursday & Friday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.Sunday: noon – 5 p.m.Closed Mondays, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

This museum has a wonderfully eclectic collection of fine art. We especially enjoyed its extensive collection of Japanese netsuke and the separate building dedicated to glass art. The live demonstration of glassmaking was terrific.

This art museum is just lovely! Beautiful pieces of art from paintings to sculptures! Our 5 year old loved it too! He liked picking up the phones near the displays to hear about the art. Nice gift shop too! Check it out today!

We go here once or twice a year and always learn something new. The Glass House across the street is an education in itself.

We have an incredibly comprehensive collection of modern and post modern art here, and the glass pavilion is also a very special feature of thr experience. Brian Kennedy does a great job hosting really innovative exhibitions.
