There are very few museums of this quality and it is free! As an art education institution, the Toledo Museum of Art strives to provide access to works of art in the Museum and information about them.

We were visiting and we're amazed at this gem. Fascinating works of art. Famous paintings by Van Gogh and Monet as well as many other pieces. Some hands on things for kids as well. There is an installation by Gabriel Date that is worth the trip by itself. And it's free. Just pay to park. There is a donation box... More

Even though I've lived in Toledo my whole life, a trip to the art museum is always a treat! I remember as a kid taking lessons weekend mornings. It is a beautiful place to visit, friendly, helpful staff that has many amazing things to see and do.

The museum of arts is a must visit if you're in Toledo. It has great sections of art. Check if there are specials there because during the summer they had fun activities that were great for kids and teens. They also have concerts there.

We stopped by the Toledo Museum of Art in the afternoon. We visited the children's activity and worked with clay. The volunteers attended to the children and helped them work with the clay and tools. The museum staff was clearly leery of the children. They appeared to be on "high alert" closely following us and our children. Nothing was touched... More

I have been going to the Toledo Museum of Art since I was 5 years old. By this time that's almost a half-century. As a young violinist I performed many times at the peristyle. It remains one of the most beautiful concert halls in the nation. This Museum is host to some of the greatest works of art of all... More

The Toledo Museum of Art is not huge, but I think that is a plus. The Museum holds fine exhibits of a variety of art, artists and art periods. The Glass Museum that is just across the street--easy to get to--is excellent and we enjoyed watching a demonstration of glass blowing. The demonstrators were more than willing to answer questions... The Toledo Museum of Art is not to be missed. It is one of the nation's top museum. It offers an impressive collection of Classical Art. If you like Contemporary Art, the museum seems to be expanding its collection and concentrating more resources in this area.

It is a very nice museum. It's nice to wander through and check out the new exhibits. They always seem to have something fun passing through.
