My wife read a review on this and thought it would be nice to see it. Glad we did. There have a lot there and you can learn some good history. You get a ride on an old Merry-Go-Round and if you time it right, you will get to see people carving out new pieces (horses mostly). A good place... More

I love carousels. I find they bring out the kid in you and re create childhood memories with family. I took my mother and my three teenage children and everyone enjoyed the tour and being able to ride the large carousel. It actually went pretty fast. I would visit again. Well worth the minimum amount aid and it was perfect... More

We ended up here because the couple we were traveling with really wanted to go. I was not sure but went along. There was so much history and information that we spent over an hour there. The ride is faster than most merry go rounds. The volunteers were very knowledgeable. The animals were indeed works of art.

Good with any weather , especially on rainy days. It is small but has some beautiful pieces and history. You ride the carousel as part of the admission price , it is worth the ride no matter your age it will be the fastest and most fun carousel ride you have ever done.

We went about an hout before they were closing. I think it usually costs 9.00/person. We got in for free. Lots of very interesting displays. Mae for a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Located in the old post office in downtown Sandusky, the museum's centerpiece is a restored working carousel with a great sounding organ. Included in your admission is a free ride. Surrounding this are numerous carved animals, mostly restored that came form a personal collection , as well as interesting bits of history and photos from the various companies that produced...
